NATIONAL RESOURCES

Critical Resistance

Building an international movement to abolish the prison industrial complex through grassroots organizing, coalition building, political education, and direct action. Their work includes prisoner solidarity programs, The Abolitionist newspaper, fighting imprisonment, resisting policing, and developing alternatives to punishment and control.

Death Penalty Focus

Organization working to abolish capital punishment through advocacy, education, and grassroots organizing. Building mutual aid networks to support death row prisoners and their families while advancing policy changes and public awareness campaigns for alternatives to the death penalty.

Solitary Watch

Independent watchdog organization shining light into the darkest corners of the U.S. punishment system through investigative journalism, advocacy, and solidarity with incarcerated people. Their work includes exposing human rights violations in solitary confinement, amplifying voices from solitary, and building public awareness to end this form of torture.

Fight Toxic Prisons

A grassroots coalition challenging the intersection of mass incarceration and environmental justice through direct action, advocacy, and mutual aid support for prisoners affected by toxic conditions and environmental hazards. FTP’s mission is to conduct grassroots organizing and direct action to challenge the prison system which is putting prisoners at risk of dangerous environmental conditions, as well as impacting surrounding communities and ecosystems by their construction and operation.

Mongoose Distro

A radical distribution project fostering mutual aid and solidarity through prisoner support and political education. They coordinate literature distribution, resource sharing, and solidarity networks while building power through anarchist publishing, prisoner correspondence, and creating spaces for connection across prison walls.
